How am I special

Hi everyone, I am Olivia and I am special. In this explanation I will tell you how I am special and what makes me special. I am special because I am a team player, I am supportive and I am flexible in two ways.

Firstly I am a team player. Together Everyone Achieves More. I do lots of sports like gymnastics, sailing, netball, swimming, golf and dance. In netball I make sure everyone gets the ball. In swimming I make sure im not always at the front. This is one way I am special.



Secondly I am supportive. I love to cheer people on and shout things like " You can do it" and "don't give up!!" It is nice to be supportive. I help people when they are stuck. For example when I see people looking sad I help them or cheer them up.

I am flexible. I don't freak out when things go out of plan. When things happen I don't mind and keep calm. In another way I am flexible by gymnastics and sometimes cheer-leading. For example, my back is quite flexible.



Overall I think that everybody is special but I am special because I am a team player, I am supportive and I am flexible in two ways.

My bucket list

Jellyfish on Omaha

On Wednesday the 14th of October , Tamsin, Chayton and Sanda D. went to Omaha with the Cav family, Annabelle, Olivia and Mike. When they got there they went to the beach, which is where they usually boogie board. But it was just winter so it was too cold. The kids dug holes in the sand and underneath was some warm water, kind of like a Jacuzzi but in the sand. 

The children were having so much fun and were splashing water at each other. But Annabelle pointed out that there was a jellyfish in the water. Tamsin said " It was really scary, we all jumped out."  In fright, Olivia stepped back and felt a disgusting squish. She lifted up her foot and saw a see through jellyfish with blue tentacles. " That was scary" Olivia said, " and it felt so gross".

After trying to keep away from the jellyfish but finding out that there were jellyfish blobs everywhere. The kids went to the water. Sadly there was jellyfish there too. It was nearly an hour and the kids were going home getting ready to tell the adults about their amazing jellyfish adventure.

The kids had fun telling the parents what had happened and they were amazed. They went there again just to show the parents. This time they saw a hole jelly fish that had just been stranded. 2 dogs ran up to them. The children tried to shoo the dogs away, but then the owner saw them and put them on a leash. After a long time of dodging jellyfish the children headed home.

What a day at the beach. The parents said they had never seen that before. Wow, jellyfish on Omaha!!!

Hi everyone! In maths we have been finding out hints and turning it into a letter for our writing. So just so you know, this is not true.

Dear parents and caregivers,

The year 5’s will be going on a school trip to the Golden Valley Wildlife Park.

The trip will be on the 3rd of November, leaving at 9:10 am. The children must come to school on time for roll call. We will be leaving by bus and will be back at 3:45. Children must bring one doller for the trips exspensives.The children can bring a maximum of $5 to spend. Please bring a raincoat and a packed lunch. Please do not bring drinks in a glass bottle. 3 adluts will be coming with 2 teachers. Please write your signature below to comfirm that your child can come.

I went to the beach in the holidays, It was loads of fun. We did gymnastics on the beach as well. But then I decided to jump off the bar thing- That was a mistake!!!

Omaha

On Wednesday morning we got up early to get ready for a sleepover at our friends batch in Omaha. We packed our clothes had breakfast and mucked around for a while. Until it was time to leave. We said "goodbye" to my mum and my cousin, who weren't going. My dad, My sister (Annabelle) and I hopped into the car and set off for a 45 minute drive. Once we were finally there we saw our friends, Tamsin and her little brother Chayton. As soon as we got out of the car, Tamsin shouted "What are you doing here" and we said "We are here for a sleepover at your house."" Awesome" It was a really humid day. When we got inside we got changed and watched TV but it was way too hot so we were going to have a water balloon fight, but they couldn't find their water balloons so we decided to use water guns. But most of the water guns were broken, so we used buckets instead!!! We got really wet. At the start Annabelle and I couldn't get Tamsin but finally we got her soaked. It was getting dark and we were still using freezing cold water so we came up with a idea of using warm water. Soon enough, after a fun game of "Bucket Throwing" It got too dark so we went inside to have a nice and warm bath. After a relaxing and quiet (not) bath, we went downstairs to watch TV. After a while It was dinner time. We had a delicious meal of some meat, potatoes beans and salad. We soon cleared the table and it was nearly time for a scrumptious dessert of chocolate chip cupcakes and 3 different flavours of ice-cream, hockey pokey, berry ripple and chocolate éclair. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed.

The next morning, I was woken up by Tamsin and Annabelle who were planning to go running. when they left I went to sit in the TV room and waited for Chayton. He finally came and we turned on the TV and watched some really funny channels. Then we heard Tamsin and Annabelle back. They were talking about jelly fish. I asked them why but they said it was a surprise. So I went back to the television. Later on When my dad and Tamsin's dad (Sanda) were up we had breakfast, which was bacon and eggs with toast. Then we went for a walk on the beach and we saw so many jelly fish. There were blobs of jelly fish, whole jelly fishes and even some baby ones. We had to be careful where we stepped. We collected some shells to. When we got back to their house we played on the tramp. but then it was time to go home. We put our things in the car and said goodbye to everyone. Finally but sadly we drove off.
