Squiggle Story-My Dream Birthday!
It was Saturday at 5 o'clock in the morning when I woke up. I was turning 10. I was really excited because it was my birthday. I was going to the amusement park for my very very own birthday party. Yay!! I got on my favorite clothes and ran downstairs. My mum and dad were getting my party ready. "happy birthday" they said. "Thanks" I said. I ran up and down the hallway feeling as excited as someone who just got a new pet. "EVERYBODY", I shouted "WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY. My sister came down and gave me my present and my parents gave me more presents. I didn't open them because I saved them for when my friends came over. Hours later my friends came over and a limo took us on a speedy trip to the amusement park. My 8 friends followed me to the party room. We went on the roller coaster and the fear fall, which is where you go up really high and then suddenly drop down. It was about an hour and a half until present time. I got some awesome presents. We had some food and cake and I made my wish then we got to spend the rest of our party time on all the games. But then sadly all my friends had to leave. I gave them my party bags and said good bye. "Goodbye!!"

The difference between Mandarin, English and Shanghainese is:

Science: Rainbows
You might of thought once,
well the answer is water and sun!!
"A rainbow" you say!!!!!!
Rainbows are colours usually in the sky formed by water and sun. It is arced shape, just like a semi circle. Well, actually, the rainbow is a full circle but from most peoples view off the ground they see a semi circle. Most rainbows we see in the sky now will be a "primary rainbow" where the colour red can be seen on the outside (top) through to violet on the inside (bottom). A rainbow is not an object, it can't physically be touched or approached. A double rainbow is where a second, much fainter arc can be seen outside of the primary arc. This is caused by the light reflecting twice inside the water droplets. As a result of this double reflection the colours of the second arc are inverted with violet on the outer edge and red on the inner edge. did you know that no two people see the same rainbow, in fact even our individual eyes see slightly different rainbows. If someone appears to be standing under a rainbow you can see, they will see a different rainbow at the same angle but further away. Isn't that amazing? It has the colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. To see a rainbow you must have your back to the sun or it won't be visible. Did you know you can never get to the end of a rainbow, when you move the rainbow moves too.
