I was going to the Anzac parade.
They were selling poppy's in town today,
For those soldiers who marched away.
They travelled to Turkey with lots of things,
Like horses and even animals with wings.
Big heavy things for the donkeys to carry,
But had no food like berries or cherries.
But we are to remember those,
Who died for us and let us go.
Hi Livi, I enjoyed reading your poem. I really like the way you put it all together, thinking about the past and then coming back to how we will remember them.
ReplyDeleteI thought you could watch this video about apostrophes (and we will talk more about it in class): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dY2SE1G900
We don't actually need to use apostrophes for plurals (for example cherry's should be cherries because you are are talking about many cherries, not one cherry). I hope the video helps you.
Also Turkey is a name of a place so you need to make sure you have a capital.
To Miss Cooper,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the advice and I have now changed all the punctuation that I got wrong.
If anyone is stuck on there apostrophes please use this video because it helped me.
